"I started swimming at the age of 7, mainly to be with friends and to eat the candy at swim meets. My love for swimming allowed me to swim competitively for 15 years. My swimming career began with the Governors Ranch Gators summer club. From there, I trained year-round with the ACES swim team. I also swam with Columbine High School, where I was able to compete in the state championships for all 4 years and even compete in Junior Nationals. After high school, I received a scholarship to swim division one at the University of North Texas, where I majored in math. I specialized in the 200 and 400 IM which has allowed for me to learn a variety about each stroke. During the school year, I am a math teacher at Highlands Ranch High School, this will be my 6th year there. Outside of teaching, I enjoy swimming, yoga, hiking, and even did my first triathlon last summer! I have 6 years of coaching experience and can’t wait to share my love of the sport through coaching this summer!"
