I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and just moved to Colorado in July 2020! I am a special education teacher in Denver Public Schools for kindergarten through 5th graders. I started swimming when I was 8 years old and swam club swimming through high school. My favorite events to swim were the butterfly and distance freestyle! I started teaching swimming lessons my freshman year of high school which then developed into a love of coaching. I have been an assistant coach and head coach in summer leagues in Indianapolis as well as an assistant coach at the high school level. I am currently one of the age group coaches for the Colorado Athletic Club Stingrays. I am so excited to be a part of the Wahoos!
Hey! My name is Aleah Gooden, i’ve been a part of Wahoos since I was 7 and coached last year. Being a part of this team is my favorite part of the summer because I’m outside all the time, and around the best kids! I love being able to help these young swimmers thrive into becoming the best they can, and can’t wait for another amazing season!
I am so excited to be coaching for the Wahoos. I started swimming with the Wahoos when I was 5 years old, and I looked forward to it every summer! I currently swim on a club team in Highlands Ranch, and I swam for Arapahoe High School the last four years. My favorite stroke is back, and my favorite event is the 200 IM. I can’t wait to help every young swimmer grow their abilities and love for swimming. Go Wahoos!
Hello! My name is Nora Hopfer and I am so excited to be able to be an assistant swim coach for the Wahoos this year. I have been swimming with the wahoos since I was 7. I am also a swimmer for the Rock Canyon Girls Varsity Swim Team. My favorite event to swim is the 100 back or the 200 IM. My favorite thing about being a part of the Wahoos is the experience of growing as a swimmer every year and having a blast while being able to do that. Overall I am thrilled to be able to work with all of the swimmers this year. Go Wahoos!
My name is Kayden Glauser, I am super excited to coach with the Wahoos this summer! My journey as a swimmer started on a swim team in Arizona when I was only 3 years old. I may have barely made it one pool length, but with lots of encouragement from great coaches, I discovered that I love to swim! This is my 5th season swimming with the Wahoos, so I am excited to work with new swimmers and lots of fellow returning swimmers! I love this swim program, and I look forward to summer swim each year. I currently swim with the Colorado Athletic Club Stingrays, and the Highlands Ranch Ducks, however the summer swim team is by far my favorite! I am really looking forward to helping your swimmers achieve their goals -while having fun and developing a love for swimming. Let's have the best summer yet!
I am Lily Aarnio! I have been swimming on Wahoos for 6 years, and I also swim for the Highlands Ranch High School Girl's Team. I love to swim the IM and breaststroke! I am super excited that we can have a season this year, and I cannot wait to help every swimmer grow and develop!
