Good evening Wahoos,

I hope this email finds you healthy and happy! Considering all the changes that we have been "flexible" through this year, I wanted to be the first person to try and give you something to plan for! YAY! Our league is going forward with a swim season and your Wahoos Board couldn't be more excited. We miss our busy and chaotic summer with kids running amock.

For planning purposes, I have updated the website with meet dates so you can see how swim team works into your schedule. The league has left it up to each Division to determine how meets will be swam. The options are in-person or virtual (we swim at the time of our choice and compare times with another team). Our division is still in the decision mode, so I cannot say for sure how the summer will look, just that we will have a season.

Coach We are looking for an interim Coach. Kaitlynn wants to stay with our team, but a new baby and completeing her Masters has become a bit overwhelming this summer. We are so happy she wants to return next year! We have a few of our Asst Coaches returning from last year to help with continuity as well.

Registration SSPRD and Wahoos Booster Registration opens April 12th at 8am. As in past years, SSPRDs registration roster is the FIRST thing you will need to complete. When you have finished, you can then go to our websiteand register for the Wahoos Booster.

Additional Information 19 year olds WILL be allowed to swim this year. If any seniors missed out last year and want to swim this year, the league welcomes them. Their race points will not count towards our team, but they will have events and fellow athletes to compete against. There is still discussion about limiting team size and age group sizes given COVID restrictions. Parent Volunteering WILL still be required. 

Wahoos Board Our team is looking for a Clerk of Course volunteer to sit on the Wahoos Board.

• Attends Wahoo Board Mtgs (approximately 7 a season)
• Works with Meet Managers to ensure swimmers are entered into the correct lanes
• Be the contact for visiting teams in the event they have a swimmer with special needs accommodation
• Manages Heating area and Heating Volunteers
• Coordinates with coaches to devise best Heating practices
• Attend MHSL CofC training
• Label relay cards
• Coordinate with Meet Manager in the event of scratches for best possible swimmer lineup
