    Tomorrow is our last home meet of the 2022 season vs Tallyn’s Reach!

    Here is what you need to know:

    Tonight-Set up begins at 6:00pm. If you would like to set up a tent or mark a space with some chairs, you can enter the Cook Creek Pool area after 6pm to do so. Please don't go before 6pm as we need to set up the tents for the meet in certain places and you may occupy our space and then we have to move you. It adds to the meet set up time for everyone.

    Theme- Each meet we like to have a "theme" to make the meets more fun and interactive. The coaches have selected "patriotic", so if your child wants to dress the part, that would be fun!

    Swimmers- Get plenty of rest tonight and be sure to stay hydrated tomorrow! It is supposed to be quite HOT tomorrow, so bring plenty of water and sunscreen for everyone attending, but especially your swimmers!

    Warm Ups- Please arrive @6:45am, swimmers need to be ready to jump in the pool at 7:00am. As the host, we take the first warm up shift. This will provide enough time for you to check in at the front Check In Table, find a spot to sit and locate and put on cap and goggles without feeling rushed and chaotic.

    Check In - Volunteer and Swimmers need to check in at the Wahoos team table at the entrance to the pool. This week we will provide one Kona Ice for all swimmers so please make sure your swimmer gets their Kona Ice coupon at check in. We will not have extra coupons so don't lose them!

    Relays- If you child is participating in the first relays of the meet (The Medley Relays, Events #5 - #14), PLEASE have them to the Heating Area by 7:50am. These relays start very quickly and gathering all the kids is not an easy task. We want our coaches coaching and cheering on our swimmers, we don't want them walking around looking for kids. Your help is greatly appreciated!!

    Meet Program- The meet program is on the website under events.

    Concessions - Although many of you will bring your own snacks (be thoughtful of nutrition and energy for your swimmers), we will have our awesome concession stand open at 7:45a. Breakfast burritos, coffee, snacks and grilled burgers & hot dogs. We accept cash and Venmo. Eat as much as you like, it's a great fundraiser for the team! Additionally Kona Ice will be available to purchase in the parking lot from 8:30am to 12:30pm.

    Sunscreen- Hint...Sunscreen and Sharpie (you will need Sharpies to write event information on your child's arm). It is easier to sunscreen first, then Sharpie. If you do it in the reverse, the Sharpie smears. Reference the New Family Guide in the Documents section of the website for how to write your child's events on their arm.

    Parking- PLEASE READ!!! We are NOT allowed to park in ALL of the Hub parking lot. Please do not park past the cones that have been set up. We are allowed to park along Lone Tree Pkwy. Be considerate if you park in the neighborhoods and double check you are not in a No Parking zone. Map attached.

    Disqualifications (DQ's)- These WILL happen tomorrow for the 7 yr olds and UP. It may be your child's first DQ, but please know, it's a learning process and if you show them the "try, try again" attitude, they will come to practice and practice their stroke more and they won't make that mistake twice.

    Ribbons/Fast Passes- For our new families. At practices, we try to remember to set out the family file folders. Each family name has one folder and all ribbons and fast passes ($.50 concession voucher for improving their times) are sorted weekly. Please check it often to get your swimmers awards or any communications we send in paper form. So, check those folders. Fast passes never expire so passes awarded for the rest of the season can be used next summer!
