Wahoos Summer 2024
Hello Families!
Welcome to another year of Wahoos Summer Swim Team!
Please read below for pertinent information to get this season started.
Parent Meeting
In Person: Sunday March 3rd at 4pm at The Hub in Lone Tree. The meeting will be recorded and posted on the website for those who can not attend in person.
MI Sports, our apparel/equipment company, has provided us with samples to try on at The Hub throughout the parent meeting. Apparel will then be ordered online. Bring your swimmers to try on swimsuits if you have any questions on sizing.
Registration Opens April 15, 9AM. Please note that this is now on a MONDAY.
First register on SSPRD site, then register for the Wahoos on our site. Make sure your SSPRD account is updated prior to the day of registration.
Swim Assessments
All NEW swimmers to the Wahoos will need to complete a swim assessment. Swimmers will need to complete a 25 yd swim in both freestyle and a stroke of their choosing (50 yards for kids 9 and over) unassisted from the side of the pool, lane ropes, or a human. Swim Assessments are scheduled for March 9th and April 7th. Please look at ssprd.org for times.

SSPRD Scholarships As in previous years, SSPRD is offering scholarships to those needing some financial assistance. The deadline is May 1st, but the earlier you get your application in, the better. Our team tends to fill quickly and if you don't have your application in early enough for approval, you may miss out on a space on the team. You can find the application here.
For those who need a jump start on the season, Lone Tree Rec Center is offering a competitive swimming conditioning program. Go to Catalog --> Aquatics --> Swim Team & Conditioning. These programs are running now!
