Are you a New Family this season?

Is this the first time you have registered a child with the Cook Creek Wahoos or do you still feel like a newbie? We are making efforts to help our new and less familiar families with the swim team process. You may be wondering "What do I do at meets, to whom do I talk to about ribbons or fast passes? What are ribbons and fast passes?" We will be happy to answer these questions and more for you! We just need to identify who you are so we can better serve your family. *

Parent Volunteer Requirements

The Cook Creek Wahoos Swim Team is a parent-volunteer run organization. In order to make the swim meets and the team run smoothly, we require each family to volunteer at swim meets. The requirement is as follows:

- Families with ONE swimmer: FOUR (4) shifts during the regular season

- Families with TWO or more swimmers: FIVE (5) shifts during the regular season

  • Please do NOT pick more than 2 shifts per meet to allow other families an opportunity to volunteer.
  • Set up and tear down may not be done in the same meet by one family.
  • Post-season shifts will be assigned at a later date, prior to meets and events.

***If your swimmer(s) participates in ANY Prelim and/or Championship meet, your shift requirements can be fulfilled by volunteering at any of those meets your swimmer(s) attends. All Star volunteers are an additional volunteer requirement (4->5 shifts or 5->6 shifts).***

To ensure that all volunteer jobs are filled, we hold a deposit of $350 through the season, returned to you at the end of the season when all volunteer requirements are met.

Credit Card-Volunteer Deposit

By electronically signing below, I agree to fulfill my family’s required volunteer duties during the Cook Creek Wahoos’ Swim Team 2024 Season. I agree that in the event I do not fulfill the obligation, I forfeit my $350 deposit to the Cook Creek Wahoos Swim Team. The $350 will then be deposited into the team’s bank account at the conclusion of the 2024 season.  In the event your card processing fails, you will be required to provide an alternate method of payment.

My family’s minimum volunteer requirement is:

- Families with ONE swimmer: FOUR (4) shifts during the regular season

- Families with TWO or more swimmers: FIVE (5) shifts during the regular season

$25 Late / No Show Volunteer Penalty Fee

In an effort to ensure volunteers arrive for their shift and on time, this season we have added a $25 penalty for volunteers who do not show or arrive more than FIVE minutes late for their scheduled shift.  Our team depends heavily on its Parent Volunteers for meets and events to run smoothly. Furthermore, other volunteers may be relying on you to be relieved from their shift or to complete their job more efficiently.  We hold a deposit of $25 throughout the season, returned to you at the end of the season upon adherence to the expectation of arriving on time for scheduled volunteer shifts.

By electronically signing below, I agree that if I do not show or arrive more than FIVE minutes late for a scheduled volunteer shift, that I forfeit the $25 hold to my credit card. The $25 will then be deposited into the team's bank account following the applicable meet or event.

I also agree that should this occur more than once, I will pay the team $25 for each additional occurrence within 5 business days of the applicable meet or event.  This fee is in addition to the Volunteer Deposit above and will not reduce the $350 owed to the team if I do not fulfill my volunteer requirements for the season.
